Explanation

Operation Sukoon was launched by the Indian Navy in July 2006 to evacuate Indian, Sri Lankan, and Nepalese nationals from Lebanon during the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. It remains one of the largest overseas civilian evacuations conducted by the Indian Navy since the Second World War. The operation involved four Indian naval ships that transported people from Beirut to Cyprus, from where they were flown back to India.
