Who was the last ruler of the Tughluq dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate?
- AFiruz Shah Tughluq
- BGhiyas-ud-din Tughluq Shah II
- CNasir-ud-din MahmudCorrect
- DNasrat Shah
Explanation
Nasir-ud-din Mahmud Shah, also known as Nasiruddin Mahmud Tughluq, was the last sultan of the Tughluq dynasty. He ruled from 1394 to 1412. His reign was marked by significant internal instability and the devastating invasion of Timur in 1398, which effectively shattered the power of the Delhi Sultanate. Following his death in 1412, the dynasty came to an end, eventually leading to the rise of the Sayyid dynasty. While Nasrat Shah was a rival claimant during this period, he did not outlast Nasir-ud-din Mahmud.
