Explanation

As of the knowledge cutoff (and up to early 2025), the Government of India has recognized six languages as 'Classical Languages'. The criteria for classical language status include high antiquity of its early texts/recorded history over a period of 1500-2000 years, a body of ancient literature/texts which is considered a valuable heritage by generations of speakers, and the literary tradition being original and not derived from another speech community. The recognized classical languages are: 1. Tamil (declared in 2004) 2. Sanskrit (declared in 2005) 3. Kannada (declared in 2008) 4. Telugu (declared in 2008) 5. Malayalam (declared in 2013) 6. Odia (declared in 2014) Based on this list: Gujarati has NOT been declared a Classical Language by the Government. Kannada HAS been declared a Classical Language. Telugu HAS been declared a Classical Language. Therefore, statements 2 and 3 are correct.
