Explanation

Statement 1 is incorrect. The source of the river Teesta is the Teesta Khangtse Glacier, located in the Kanchenjunga range in Sikkim. The Brahmaputra (Yarlung Tsangpo) originates in the Angsi Glacier in the Himalayas of Tibet, not the same source as Teesta. Statement 2 is correct. River Rangeet is a major tributary of the Teesta River. It originates in the Himalayas in West Sikkim and flows through Sikkim before joining the Teesta. Statement 3 is incorrect. The Teesta River flows through Sikkim and West Bengal in India, and then enters Bangladesh, where it eventually merges with the Brahmaputra River (known as Jamuna in Bangladesh) before their combined waters flow into the Meghna River and finally into the Bay of Bengal. It does not flow into the Bay of Bengal directly on the border of India and Bangladesh.
